Chief Executive Officer & President

   

Proven deal maker and government advisor with specific expertise in former Soviet Union countries. He has more than 30 years of financial experience in sovereign loans, capital markets and oil trading between Western and emerging countries. At the beginning of his financial career he pioneered financial engagement with Vietnam during the post-war period and organised the first US$ denominated loan to the country after the Vietnam War.

He is a Non-Executive Member of the Anglo-Azerbaijan Society, Partner of the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange and Member of the IADC Caspian Chapter Steering Committee.

Andrea holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Genoa and a postgraduate degree in Taxation Law from the University of Bologna. He is one of Zenith’s founders.

Luigi Regis Milano

Managing Director of Italian Operations, Executive Director

Luigi has more than 40 years of experience in the petroleum industry. During the last 20 years he has been the executive director of a large trading company specialised in crude oil and petroleum productions. Luigi has owned a significant interest in an Italian oil refinery since 2000.

Luigi is one of Zenith’s founders and was the Company’s CFO from November 2012 to March 2016. He currently serves as Managing Director of Zenith’s Italian subsidiary.

Luca Benedetto

Chief Financial Officer

Luca joined Zenith as Finance Director of the Company’s Italian subsidiary in 2013, and was subsequently appointed to the position of Group Financial Controller.

He was appointed to the position of Chief Financial Officer of the Company in 2017.

Luca Benedetto trained in Italy as a registered accountant with further education in IFRS accounting and consolidation at IPSOA Milan. He has more than twenty-five years of accounting, auditing and financial administration experience. He is a former Italian soldier and was deployed to Somalia as part of the Unified Task Force in Operation Restore Hope.

Managing Director, Italian Operations

Luigi has more than 40 years of experience in the petroleum industry. During the last 20 years he has been the executive director of a large trading company specialised in crude oil and petroleum productions. Luigi is also part owner of an Italian refinery since 2000.

Luigi is one of Zenith’s founders and served as Zenith CFO from November 2012 to March 2016. He currently serves as Managing Director of Zenith’s Italian subsidiary.

Susanna Regis Milano

Operations and Government Liaison Manager

Susanna joined Zenith’s Italian subsidiary in 2012 and was appointed as Operations Manager in 2013 following Zenith’s acquisition of a number of energy production interests in Italy.

Prior to joining Zenith Susanna worked in the renewable energy sector as a researcher, with a specific concentration on the production and management areas.

Daniele Leone

Daniele Leone

Finance Director

Daniele joined Zenith’s Italian subsidiary as Finance Director in 2017. He has 20 years of experience in accounting and financial administration. Prior to joining Zenith’s Italian division, he held the position of senior financial and procurement manager for ten years in a well-known Italian trading company based in Genoa.

Luca Procopio

Junior Geologist

Luca joined Zenith’s Italian subsidiary as a Junior Geologist in 2017. Luca has specific expertise in seismic data processing and seismic data acquisition. He holds a Bacherlor’s degree in Geological Sciences and a Master’s degree in Geophysical Sciences from the University of Pisa.

Zaur Hajizade

Deputy General Director

Zaur is a geologist with 30 years of experience in oil and gas production in Azerbaijan, Libya and Colombia. Zaur has held senior management positions at BP, ENI, Equion Energia and joined Zenith in 2016 from SOCAR (State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic).

Ulviya Zeynalova

Executive Assistant to General Director

Ulviya has 15 years of experience in the oil & gas industry. Before joining Zenith in 2017 Ulviya worked at BP in a team responsible for one of the largest natural gas developments in the world, Shah Deniz 2, that will deliver Azerbaijan’s natural gas production to Europe.

From 2009-2016 she worked in the coordination of joint venture operations between seven international oil companies involved in a Production Sharing Agreement.

Tural Muradov

Tural Muradov

Finance Director

Tural joined Zenith’s Azerbaijan subsidiary as Finance Director in 2017. Prior to joining Zenith he worked as Senior Auditor at Baker Tilly Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan division of the internationally recognised accountancy firm. He has specific expertise in Production Sharing Agreements (PSA).

Ogtay Ismayilzada

Senior Accountant

Ogtay began his early career as a corporate customer services specialist at one of the largest private banks in Azerbaijan. He then began work as an accountant in the oil and gas industry after completing a Masters degree in International Economics, Banking and Finance at the University of Cardiff.

Prior to joining Zenith, Ogtay gained significant accounting experience whilst working at Halliburton and General Electric. He currently serves as Senior Accountant at Zenith Aran and is studying towards a PhD at the Azerbaijan State Economic University.

Tahir Guliyev

Health, Safety & Environment Manager

Tahir has 14 years of experience as a Health, Safety and Environment manager in the Azerbaijan oil and gas industry and has worked on international projects such as Azeri–Chirag–Deepwater Gunashli and Shah-Deniz Alpha. Tahir holds a General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health Management.

Tatyana Kose

Planning Manager

Tatyana has more than 11 years of experience in the oil and gas sector. She was previously in charge of the sale and preparation of oil and gas production at Karasu Operating Company. Tatyana joined Zenith’s Azerbaijan subsidiary in August 2016 as Planning Manager.

Gunay Hashimova

Accountant

Gunay has more than ten years of accounting experience in the construction, engineering and the oil and gas sector. She joined Zenith in 2017 and speaks four languages, including Italian.

Namig Heydarov

Namig Heydarov

Logistics & Customs Manager

Namig is a logistics and customs manager with 25 years of experience. Prior to joining Zenith in 2017 he worked for BJ Services Company and Baker Hughes International. During this time he worked in supporting the Azerbaijan operations of companies including Union Texas, Exxon, Lukoil, Karasu Operating Company and BP.
